DescriptionsVESSEL OVERVIEW
HIGH SPIRITS will be on display at the Palma Brokerage Show, 27-30 April. VESSEL OVERVIEW ~ NAEMA was built to the same design as the famous 1930's Classic Alfred Mylne design schooner, PANDA, a powerful gaff rigged topsail schooner with a Jack-yard main topsail, full compliment of topsails for her foremast, comprehensive headsails and with her golly wobbler and spinnaker set, she flies a cloud of sail, indeed! However, while NAEMA's Modern Classic design has retained and in fact enhanced all her magnificent performance attributes, her power winches, sophisticated electronics and other handling systems have taken much of the 'heavy lifting' out of her operation, so she can easily be managed by a crew of 7 for extended family voyaging. Although traditional in design with raised panel joiner work, leaded glass and soft, rolled leather upholstery, NAEMA offers all amenities for gracious living aboard, in port, or far at sea. In short, she's a proper yacht in all respects and she is without question, the most spectacular yacht on every horizon. WALKTHROUGHOn Deck: Boarding NAEMA from the stern passarelle and across the teak stern deck, the helm is elevated to allow clear visibility of the full horizon forward, with easy access to all controls and handling systems, elegantly detailed in bright polished brass. The GUEST COCKPIT is immediately forward, with a large drop leaf varnished teak dining table and comfortably cushioned seating for 8-10 guests. The cockpit is fully protected by the Raised Pilothouse immediately forward. NAEMA has a broad expanse of teak decking on her side and mid deck areas with convenient stowage for her tender plus a classic Whitehall rowing/sailing tender. Three traditional varnished teak skylights provide an abundance of light and ventilation to the accommodations below. The foredeck is efficiently detailed with a large Ideal windlass and stowage for her anchors, staysail boom, plus access to the crew area below. Interior: The Deck Salon adjoins the guest cockpit forward, offering full protection and 360 degree unrestricted visibility. There is a serving area immediately to starboard with refrigeration, full sink, cabinetry and storage areas. The guest head is aft to port. Forward and surrounded by large oval windows, there are comfortable "L' shaped settees, elevated to enhance visibility. The Navigation Station is forward to port with a large, opening port facing the mid-deck, large navigation table and complete instrumentation. Forward to starboard, is another desk/office area, also with an opening port facing forward. Detailing in the deck salon, as throughout the yacht is of bright varnished anigre cabin soles and varnished, raised panel Mahogany. The curved staircase forward and down to the accommodation passageway is elegantly detailed in mahogany with painted panels above, accented by full height, handcrafted leaded glass panels with scallop shells imbedded in the design! The MAIN SALON and DINING SALON are amidships and full width of the yacht with opening portlights outboard and large skylight at center for an abundance of natural light and ventilation. The dining area is outboard to starboard with sumptuous rolled and pleated leather upholstery on the U-shaped seating, surrounding the large main dining table with seating for 8 guests. The Salon Lounge is to port, with an "L' shaped settee and cocktail table facing the retractable entertainment screen. The Salons are decorated with leaded glass cabinets outboard, fore and aft, enhancing the magnificent traditional ambiance of NAEMA's interior. The Master Stateroom is to starboard, with a King size berth outboard, large stowage locker forward with bureau below, additional cabinet storage aft and outboard with a hanging locker as well. Natural and light and ventilation through portlights outboard and the opening skylight above. The Master Head is detailed with a marble top vanity and under-mounted sink, full stall shower, beveled mirrors and additional cabinetry. The Port Guest Stateroom has double and single berths with a large pullman berth outboard, opening port and skylight and an abundance of stowage in drawers, lockers and hanging locker, along with an en-suite head with detailing similar to the Master. The second Guest Stateroom is aft to port, also with a berth and pullman above, with detailing and en-suite head to match the others. The Captain' Cabin is fully aft to starboard, with a queen-size berth, plenty of storage in drawers and lockers, and an en-suite head and shower. CREW QUARTERS are forward, including three cabins with two bunk beds each, with ample storage, "u" shaped crew lounge with convertible dinette and a full Gourmet Galley, including SS counter tops and molded sinks, full height stainless refrigerator and freezer by Gram on the forward bulkhead alongside full height washer/dryer by Miele. The centerline island houses the Bohnhoff professional dishwasher with additional storage forward and the aft bulkhead supports the Bosch electric range and oven, plus additional stowage and countertops. The crew quarters adjoin the main salon via a watertight door. CONSTRUCTIONSteel Hull by Graffship, with teak overlay decking and varnished teak superstructure and bulwarks.
